Check-in Terms and Condition of Sonali Resort

1. Registration: Only registered check-in guests are permitted to stay at the Resort. The maximum number of guests permitted will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply will result in an additional fee being charged.

 

2. Check-In and Check-Out Time: Check-in time is at 5:00 pm. Check-out time is at 2:00 pm. An additional 2,500 pesos will be charged per hour for early check-in or late check-out. Subject to the availability of the Resort. Guests are responsible for taking care of their belongings during check-out. If any items are left or lost, the resort is not liable for them.

 

3. House Keys: Please surrender the resort key to our caretakers upon check-out.

 

4. Additional Bed/Person: The Sonali Resort can comfortably accommodate up to 45 guests. The request for an additional bed or person is 1,000 pesos per night, with a maximum of 10 people.

 

5. Pet Policy: Pets are permitted on the premises of The Sonali Resort; however, you will be held liable for any damage caused by your pet. We only allow small and medium pets (max weight of 7 kg) and a maximum of 3. Pets are required to wear diapers at all times, whether indoors or outdoors. Pets are not allowed to swim in the Pool at any time. 

 

6. Housekeeping Services: Our housekeeping attendants are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week.

 

7. Power Interruption/Power Failure: Emergency lights are installed on the stairs of each floor. Flashlights will be provided in the event of a power interruption/failure. The Sonali Resort does not have a generator set.

 

8. Internet Access: We provide Wi-Fi access upon check-in; however, we cannot guarantee the strength of the connection, which may vary due to weather conditions and location.

 

9. Kitchen: Cooking and grilling should only be done in designated areas. Durian, Marang, and other odorous foods should not be brought inside the premises. Drinking water is free for the first bottle at the dispenser. An additional 100 Pesos will be charged for the succeeding bottle. Make sure, after use, all utensils and pots are clean. Anything broken will be charged to the guest and must be settled before checkout. Induction cooking equipment is free to use in a dirty kitchen. The creek-side kitchen utilises gas and a commercial burner, incurring an additional charge of 1,500 pesos in addition to the resort rental. Grilling is allowed only in the creek-side kitchen.

 

10. Safety: The Resort is provided with fire extinguishers. Common areas are equipped with 24-hour CCTV. Always be aware of food allergies and store your food properly for food safety. Lock your room, be mindful of your belongings, and be aware of your surroundings. As a private resort, you are all your own during your stay; the resort management or caretaker is not liable for anything. Guests must close the service and creekside gates before sleeping or leaving the Resort. Don’t lean on the sliding glass doors on the ground floor, 2nd floor, or 3rd floor. Only the glass door near the dining table will be used for entry and exit on the ground floor. Guests are not allowed to enter the living and dining area with wet clothes (Strictly prohibited).

 

11. Bed Linens: Bedding will not be automatically changed for stays of less than 4 nights. If you require a linen change, additional charges will apply.

 

12. Quiet Time: Please respect the noise curfew implemented by the local government unit of Los Baños. Quiet time is from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

 

13. Event Set Up: If you intend to organise catering and event styling events, please make prior arrangements, as specific considerations and additional fees apply. The event hall or function room rental per hour is 6,000.00 pesos for a minimum of four hours. It comes with sound systems and is fully air-conditioned. The aircon will only run for the total hours rented. A 200-square-meter roof deck on the 4th floor and a 5th-floor view deck are available for rent for the event.

 

14. Non-Smoking/Vaping: All rooms and indoor areas are designated as non-smoking and non-vaping areas. A penalty of 10,000 pesos will be imposed for any violation. Please smoke only in designated outdoor areas.

 

15. Firearms & Illegal Drugs: Carrying firearms, weapons, and fireworks is strictly prohibited. Gambling is not allowed on the resort premises. No illegal drugs are permitted on the premises.

 

16. Vehicle Parking: The Sonali Resort features a spacious garage that accommodates up to 3 cars. Guests can park alone on the road at their own risk.

 

17. Swimming Pool Guidelines: Our Pool is a natural hot spring; water is pumped from the ground. We also use chemicals to control water quality, ensuring a comfortable swimming experience. Water is maintained in a healthy state using chemicals; we add hot water if the client requests it during swimming. Note: We don't replace water per guest; the swimming water is replaced when its quality becomes unmanageable due to chemical levels.  Safety: There are no lifeguards on duty. Please prioritize the safety of your guests at all times. All children should be cared for by adults at all times during swimming. Attire: Proper swimming attire is required.

Spillage and Contamination: A fine of 20,000 Pesos will be imposed for any spillage, human waste, or vomit in the Pool. Pets are not allowed inside the Pool. For detailed guidelines and information, please refer to the swimming pool rules and regulations posted in the pool area. Notes: Food and drink are not permitted in the Pool. Breaking any glass, bottle, or throwing food, whether intentionally or unintentionally, in the pool area that hampers the water or poses a safety hazard will result in a penalty of 20,000 pesos. Observing pets swimming, guests drinking, or eating will result in a penalty of 10,000 to 20,000 pesos.

 

18. Reservation and Cancellation Policy: Booking will only be considered final once proof of FULL PAYMENT has been sent or paid online using our website. A full refund or rebooking is available for cancellations made at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund will be provided for cancellations made up to one week before check-in. Rebooking is allowed once, provided it is at least 14 days before check-in, and the difference in amount is paid if necessary. NO REFUNDS and NO REBOOKING allowed for cancellations seven days before check-in. There will be no refund due to the power interruption. The processing time for a valid refund request is seven working days, after which the refund will be deposited into your bank account.

 

19. Responsibility and Liability: The guest is responsible for taking good care of the property and equipment and for protecting them from damage, loss, or theft. If any of the mentioned situations occur during your stay, the guest will be charged the full cost of the damaged or missing item. Please review our rate card for any damages at the Resort.

 

20. Deposit: The Resort requires a deposit of 6,000 pesos upon check-in, which will be refunded during check-out. If any charges are incurred, they will be automatically deducted from the deposit.

 

21. Room Allocation: Depending on the number of pax, rooms allocated in our booking system, the guest is not allowed to stay in or open any room or area not included in the booking. The guests must not open restricted areas and locked rooms. A fine of 5,000 pesos will be imposed.

 

22. Child Policy: Children under the age of five are admitted to the Resort free of charge. The child will only share a bed with their parents with existing bedding. If the guest requests an additional bed for the child, a surcharge will apply. Children above five are considered adults; SONALI RESORT counts them as persons. All children, including those under eighteen, must be supervised by their guardians. An adult must accompany children at all times when visiting the 2nd-floor veranda and corridor, the 4th-floor roof deck, and the 5th-floor roof deck. If anything goes wrong during the stay, the Resort is not liable.

 

23. Caretaker Rules: The Resort has two full-time caretakers who are authorized to enter the Resort periodically to inspect the facilities, particularly electrical equipment, and maintain the swimming pool. They check the ground facilities at night and turn off unused electronics for safety.  In the morning, they can organize the ground floor and all other outdoor facilities, clean the area, and dispose of the trash.

 

24. Furniture Rules: Guests are not allowed to move any furniture inside or outside the resort. Especially, the wooden furniture is prohibited from being moved or relocated.

25. Event of Bad Weather: In the situation of typhoons or severe weather conditions, Sonali Resort allows rebooking under the following terms & conditions: There is an official declaration of a tropical cyclone wind signal number of "2" on the day of your scheduled check-in from the local government unit of Los Banos, Laguna. With this condition, guests may rebook their stay within one month of the original booking date. Rebooking is subject to availability and must be for a similar weekday or weekend rate. No Rebooking is allowed for peak seasons or holidays unless the original booking was on a similar date. Sonali Resort allows one-time rebooking only. Please note that light or hard rain, as well as cloudy skies, do not qualify for rebooking. Refunds are not allowed. 

All facilities are used at your own risk. The Sonali Resort will not be responsible for any accidents, injuries, or losses resulting from theft, wind, or acts of God.

 

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES AND GUIDELINES MAY RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR BOOKING WITH NO REFUND.
